for one of my Gentle Readers! What better way for a "widder lady" to celebrate this day than by giving a wee giftie to one of you?
Just now...using Random.org's Sequence Generator, and all the commenters from February 8th through today, I found a winner for this little stitchery kit:
Lovingly created a few years ago by a gal who taught stitchery on wool at a shop now closed (2012) -- the owner retired and wound up the business -- this kit includes fabric (yummy cream-coloured wool), DMC floss (#321) and a wee mother-of-pearl button: everything you need to make a Valentine gift for next year. :-)
And the winner of this Valentine's Day Surprise drawing is... Peggy! I'll be in touch shortly to get your snail mail address and send this off to you. Happy Valentine's Day to all -- and happy stitching!

Coulda Fooled Me!
I got this quiz from Sharon Williams, my former watercolour teacher, whose blog I follow. The words describing 'me' make some sense (especially the first couple of sentences) -- but the colours!?!
Sharon challenged herself to paint using her colour palette. I think I might just have to use mine in a fibre project...sometime...

Your rainbow is intensely shaded yellow, green, and brown.
What is says about you: You are a deep thinking person. You appreciate optimism. You're good at getting people to like you. Those around you admire your fresh outlook and vitality.
Find the colors of your rainbow at spacefem.com.
